Fledglings are learning to be independent although still call out for help from parents. I was lucky to see these sweet little mockingbird’s learning flight skills between small trees. It is a delight to see the beauty of these beautiful winged beings. In parks, on trails stop, listen and look up.

To be honest I have a lot on my mind. Our (America’s) Congress is planning a fire sale of our public lands see blog Call to Action: Stop Congress From Selling OUR Public Lands
When I hike one my favorite views is from Hot Springs Mountain is across the Zig Zag Mountains to the Ouachitas. It is spectacular because of National Forests and the big pines that populate that space. The view was something I took for granted and now realize how easily it could be taken away. How quickly flora and fauna could vanish without the land bridges created by our public lands. Please take a moment to view my blog above.
This was both an healing and thoughtful hike in the rising sun.

Rain dances upon the earth giving life to all it touches, an intimate caress. ~ Lee Hiller
Mockingbirds are lively and gregarious in our National Park. Closely watching me as stand beneath the canopy searching for autumn leaves to photograph. The silent recognition between two beings sharing planet earth is always a blessing from the Universe.
Have a wonder-filled day!
