I live surrounded by nature.  Four mountains make up my front, side and back yards.  Beautiful trails, wildlife and glorious sunrises.  The light of each new day a reminder of the blessings of life.  The light of each sunrise declaring “I am alive”.

To be honest I have a lot on my mind.  Our (America’s) Congress is planning a fire sale of our public lands see blog Call to Action: Stop Congress From Selling OUR Public Lands

When I hike one my favorite views is from Hot Springs Mountain is across the Zig Zag Mountains to the Ouachitas. It is spectacular because of National Forests and the big pines that populate that space.   The view was something I took for granted and now realize how easily it could be taken away.  How quickly flora and fauna could vanish without the land bridges created by our public lands. Please take a moment to view my blog above.

This was both an healing and thoughtful hike in the rising sun.

Spring is a celebration of Nature awakening from her winter beauty sleep. It is also the perfect time for an early morning start to wander in the woods. Four hours with the Trees, Birds and Wildflowers is a perfect way to start any day.
