“The sword of fear is wielded by cowards.” ~ Lee Hiller
Yesterday when I thought I would be editing these images a news alert popped up on my computer screen. An active shooter was inside the Tree Of Life Synagogue. As the sunset set and the moon rose the news stated 11 of our fellow human beings had been murdered and 6 others injured on a peaceful Shabbat morning. An American man, a fellow citizen had expressed his white male grievance by using his AR-15 and murdering 11 fellow human beings.
On Monday a man expressing his white male grievance was arrested for mailing 14 pipe bombs which thankfully never exploded. Another man expressed his white male grievance in Kentucky on Wednesday. He could not gain access to an African American Church to commit mass murder so he went to a Kroger grocery store and shot two African Americans who were shopping.
At the heart of of these tragedies is HATE. Hate fueled by those who spew lies to create division and fuel violence. I have learned from Nature that although its details which create the images I share are different and unique they come to together to create exquisite beauty. We are those details in the landscape of life too and when we come together as humans we are beautiful.
My fellow Americans please be mindful and vote as if someone else’s life depends on it. As we learned this week it probably does.
Love to ALL!
Lee
