The next four years could be the beginning of the end for our protected public lands. Many in the new GOP have long sought to privatize our National Parks including selling mineral rights and allowing hunting. Now they can do so unfettered and unchallenged or worse.
The GOP 2016 Platform includes the following: “an amendment calling for the indiscriminate and immediate disposal of national public lands.” See related articles
Each time I post photographs I will be wondering if they are a chronicle of the end of America’s wild spaces. Home to our wild beings in beautiful mountains, deserts, forests, rivers, lakes, wetlands, glaciers etc. Will we fail to protect the last places not destroyed by man?
Love to ALL!
