My wildflower Moby Dick has been a native Arkansas Wildflower. The light is too bright, it is too late in the afternoon or they appeared in the worst lit area along a trail. I am heading up a trail last week and see a glint of white ahead on the trail edge. Trying my best to contain my excitement as I get closer. There before me is the perfect light Variegated Milkweed. It’s creamy white blossoms with purplish-red band at the base of each waiting for me. Undamaged by the steady stream of severe storms they are magnificent. Spectacular tight clusters which will call to insects with their nectar.
I am thankful to witness the beauty of nature firsthand.
Love to ALL!
