I had never considered a Tufted Titmouse to be a big bird until I saw a Carolina Chickadee trying to gain Tree territory. The tiny Chickadee was fast as it dove into the hollow Tree occupied by the Titmouse. After out maneuvering its bigger rival the little Chickadee landed on a branch near my shoulder and sang a lovely song.
Across the trail a White-Breasted Nuthatch searched for morsels in the Tree bark. It worked silently in the morning light for its breakfast. All the little birds have begun their winter preparations.
Love to ALL!
