Autumn Leaves Among the Forest Sentinels

I hear the Universe within each moment of silence on the Forest trail. ~ Lee Hiller

The strong Short Leaf Pines protected some of the delicate Autumn Leaves from the storms last week.  Rain fell and winds blew, the color once high in the canopy is a beautiful part of the forest carpet at my feet. The trails glow with the moisture soaked translucent color of Leaves nestled among the tall sentinels of the Forest.

The Sense of Humor of the Universe… I often joke with mu husband Rick about finding a diamond while we are hiking (yes Arkansas has diamonds). As we neared the end of this hike I looked down to see a solitaire shaped quartz nestled in the moss. It made me smile, the Universe has a wicked sense of humor. So I have found my diamond, the hunt is finally over 😉
