I had a lovely hike with my beloved husband in the Forest yesterday. It is a blessing to be able to step out the door and escape to a peaceful nature space. The Forest is recovering from the terrible drought that turned it into a tinder box in 2012. Vibrant green Leaves plus Vines in the Trees are creating a thick canopy to shelter and feed the beautiful winged beings nesting in the park. A big Robin landed above us its beak filled with four caterpillars and an unidentified insect. Minutes before we reached the end of the trail we had our first sighting this spring of a lovely Juvenile Summer Tanager. Its beautiful song echoed along the trail to carry us home. Nature always has many lovely surprises.
Love to ALL!
