Summer blends into Autumn with a colorful display of Wings and Wildflowers

Autumn plays an overture to her changing leaves with vibrant Wildflowers and bold Butterflies.  Leaves once deep green leaves have begun to take on a golden cast as they prepare for their glorious fireworks of red, yellow and orange.  Trails glow in the early morning light illuminating the spectacular details within the Forest.   Purple Asters are everywhere in the park and are often cradled by stems of yellow goldenrod.  Wildflowers are being caressed by Skippers, Sulphurs and Butterflies with each flower transformed into a spectacular pedestal for a delicate dance of feeding. Please enjoy the beauty of the layers of colorful petals and wings from my hike on North and Hot Springs Mountains in Hot Springs National Park.
